Home Business Tips - Entitlement Mentality Equals No Money?

Many folks who are new to Internet marketing have this belief that they can find just one program that works, put it on autopilot, and make money from it forever. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work out like that. When direct marketing sales letters proclaim 'You can make money on autopilot!', don't take it all too literally. After all, a sales letter that says 'You've got to work hundreds or even thousands of hours before making any kind of automated cash' isn't going to sell products as well.

Notice that sales letters never say you can make money on 100% autopilot. Sure, you can make money on autopilot, it is 24 hours, worldwide. This means you can go to sleep and your business is still working for you. But it doesn't mean that when you are awake, you can afford not to work at all. There is some work involved. There is always some maintenance involved. The sooner people realize this, the better.

Other people think they can build a business for free online. They want everything free - hosting, information, products, traffic etc. These people usually don't go very far. They have succumbed to the entitlement mentality, where they expect everything on a platter, for free.

Now, if you add in the hunger to look for a push-button 100% autopilot solution together with the hunger to just want things for free, you have recipe for a disaster. Here is the reality - most successful business owners, and online entrepreneurs for that matter, had to work like crazy to get to where they are. Forget the facade of the 2-hour work day.

Yes, the thing is, if you're a successful entrepreneur, you can afford to take a 2-hour work day or take a whole month off at anytime you like because money will still be coming in. But you don't start from zero with a 4-hour workweek without any foundation to support you and make money for you.
